Our students happily continue learning quarter after quarter as new classes on the best topics are offered continually with little repetition for 2 years regardless of when you start. Our classes are also well loved and respected because they are substantial and contain integrated topics, rather than being fragmented into many small pieces and scheduled at varying times that may be difficult to complete.

Scheduling is consistent typically on 2-3 weekday evenings and a weekend day so that you can go at a leisurely pace or intensively. Level 1 Massage 100 hour class: Stress Reduction Massage

This class is a great opportunity to gain valuable new skills while enjoying better health and personal development, in a group of nice people. We will cover our complete Stress Reduction Massage sequence, with basic anatomy and massage principles, and a bonus introduction to the popular use of Aromatherapy. The students as well as clients give our massage techniques rave reviews. This 100 credit hour professional massage technician class may enable students to begin work in some settings, and also applies toward more employable higher level programs. Our courses are especially well designed and are offered at a most affordable tuition. Please note that though this is a credit hour based training, missing a class or two due to trips etc. is understandable and easily made up. Nutrition A: Essential Contemporary Nutrition

Nutrition is a cornerstone of holistic health and important for everyone’s health and longevity. Widely varying diets and opposing views of what is healthy confuse most people. We will build solid understanding and learn how to intelligently choose eating well for ourselves with much enjoyment rather than fear and rigidity. Students will have opportunities to develop and enjoyably share their own views and samples of delicious healthy eating. This interesting course covers the digestive system, proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, understanding and evaluating nutritional theories and claims, various diets for health, weight-management approaches, environmental health, self diet analysis, and more including great videos. Expect a wealth of knowledge to be shared in this class for your own health and longevity, and for furthering your ability to educate clients. This course is aligned with the famous work of Dr. Andrew Weil, MD. This class is required for the HHP program, and is an elective for the Massage Therapist program, as well as being part of the optional 150 hour Nutrition certificate.

Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage

The culture and spirit of Hawaii is what makes Lomi Lomi a great massage tradition. We will cover much including Ho’opono, the beautiful heart-centering approach that is central to Lomi Lomi, helping both practitioners and clients feel wonderful. The massage techniques are flowing and substantial, including the safe use of forearm strokes on large muscles which is great for saving your hands. “Lomilomi is the hands-on manifestation of Aloha skillfully delivered into the soft tissues of the body.” Bring the island spirit into your life and practice with this great authentic class. This class counts as elective hours for both the Massage Therapist and HHP programs.

Instructor: Tif Easterwood, HHP, has over 15 years experience in the field, with much of it on the Big Island of Hawaii, where she started with over 1000 hours of massage and bodywork training, including Lomi Lomi, at the school originally founded by famed Lomi Lomi teacher and author Nancy Kahalewai.

Our classes are integrated containing several pertinent subjects together for more valuable and useful learning. Rather than having many fractioned pieces of classes, it’s better and more respected to have complete classes long enough to give a great learning opportunity in each as well as get to know classmates better. We have fresh classes every quarter for the length of a normal and very rich and complete HHP program. Our HHP’s typically know ten or more massage modalities well.

Level 1 Massage 100 hour class: UltraSwedish Massage

This class is a great opportunity to gain valuable new skills while enjoying better health and personal development at the same time. We will cover our outstanding Swedish massage plus additional techniques, with plenty of enjoyable and flexible practice time, basic anatomy, and healthy working posture. The students as well as clients give our massage techniques rave reviews. This 100 credit hour professional massage technician class may enable students to begin work in some settings, and also applies toward more employable higher levels of training. Our courses are especially well-designed and are offered at a most affordable tuition level. Stress Management: Skilled Body and Mind Relaxation

Stress Management is a fascinating field that teaches practitioners to skillfully help ourselves and our clients to reduce the detrimental effects of stress on their physiology. Excessive or prolonged stress has been implicated in over 80% of dis-ease processes by the medical community, and is a major culprit in chronic muscular tension. This class will be filled with enjoyable exercises in relaxation, body awareness, and imagery, that support the health of practitioners as well as clients. This subject has been a favorite of the instructor since he first studied and assisted in Roger Allen’s famous classes at the University of Maryland. The skills learned can be used independently or incorporated into massage sessions. This class is required for the Holistic Health Practitioner program, and is an elective for the Massage Therapist program. There is no prerequisite, and it is an excellent class for friends in the community who could benefit from it.

Instructors: C. Bo Milan, HHP, program director, has taught and facilitated over a thousand seminars and classes including extensive relaxation, health, and imagery exercises which will be presented in this class; and others.

Reflexology

Unique, surprisingly effective modality enjoyed by many clients, and often blended into other massage sessions. Learn to enhance the health of the whole body through ancient techniques focusing on the feet and hands. Reflexology is a practice based on the Oriental Medicine view that the feet, hands, and ears are microsystems which represent all the organs, glands and parts of the body. When the foot and hand reflexes are manually stimulated, congestion in the body is dissolved, thereby restoring balance and harmony to the entire body. Reflexology takes foot and hand massage skills to a new level.

No prerequisite; Counts as elective hours for both MTh and HHP programs.

Instructors: Jasmine Norcross, CMT, HHP pending, is an experienced, knowledgeable and warm practitioner and teacher in this field.; and others.

Classes are scheduled weekday evenings and weekends.

Please note: standard academic hours are fifty minutes.

All our students get the discounted student tuition rate on all classes without obligation after a standard one-time $100 registration fee. (Unregistered public tuition rate is $1 more per credit hour for classes beyond level 1.) No long-term contracts or obligations.

*$30 discount when offered is for taking 50 or more hours of other classes simultaneously with level 1 and paying for half or more of tuition at start of classes.

A minimum of 8-12 students in each class at Director’s discretion is required to hold classes.

While we are very fair and consistent in practice, published information (including any errors) does not constitute an agreement or contract, and we reserve the right to change any published information without notice.

Please note: registrations less than one week before class start date are accepted with reasonable 5% surcharge – make it easier on us and yourself by registering well ahead please. This fee is waived for brand new students. Thank you.
